I’m not sure when we’re discussing Piper, so since I just read it I wanted to throw out a few reactions I had and see if anyone else found these aspects to be particularly interesting or worthy of further discussion. Apologies for length!!!!

2.) What’s with Academia?
Piper is a high level academic, and she acknowledges that her specific encounters with racism are impacted by that environment. I was wondering if the academic world has its own specific brand of racism, and how it could be categorized and differentiated from “regular” racism, if there even is such a thing. Read more…
